It is with great excitement that the Denby Dale Centre can announce a new partnership with HD8 based not for profit support organisation, HD8 Life CIC.

This partnership of support offers the local Community Anchor network under the themes of Unite, Connect and Support.  This will continue the previous partnership with #SEEahead1 where Helen, until her retirement, was active all across HD8 coaching, mentoring, supporting, signposting and connecting our local not for profit groups to meet their needs, and so strengthening the HD8 community service offer.

This new partnership will bring a new strength to the offer, with Erin from #HD8Life CIC being able to support local groups, nurture ideas for new community groups, signpost to free or discounted training for charity workers and volunteers, support trustees and strengthen how the charity sector markets itself, and try to encourage investment of time into that, so that our community can find our groups.

Erin will work with our Wellness Works team; who are helping and supporting people with health conditions to maintain or gain employment. The Wellness Works programme is #Kirklees wide, and in rural is using the #aDoddle web directory, which adds to our existing Council Community Directory and of course our own amazing #HD8WorkRestPlay directory, giving groups increased opportunity of being digitally found by search engines.

If you are a coordinator, a trustee, leading, or organizing a not for profit group in HD8 (including Grange Moor and Flockton), you are warmly welcome to join us and meet Erin (if you haven’t met her yet) at the next HD8 Community Leaders Network meeting which is on 18^th November 2025, at 10:00. #TSLKirklees refer to this meeting as a People Helping People meeting.
